When I get my monthly ELEVATE Scorecard, I see my unit grade scores and my fleet's KPI scores but not MPG. Why isn’t MPG included in the grade scores?
We help you focus on driver behavior. Higher MPG is an outcome of good driver behavior. The graph below illustrates when drivers improve their KPI scores, fuel economy improves across the board.
When we created our proprietary grading algorithm, we did not want to penalize drivers based on their weight load, route, climate, etc., which can often alter MPG. We have analyzed over 200 fleets and 7000 units and found drivers with better behavior ultimately result in higher MPG.
