Through Idealease Cares, we’re excited to recognize Peterson Idealease for their unwavering support of the Wheelchair Foundation’s Drive For Mobility golf tournament—a cause they have championed for the past seven years.
The Wheelchair Foundation has transformed the lives of over 1 million people by providing essential mobility to those in need, and Peterson Idealease has played a significant role in advancing this mission. This year, for the second time, Peterson Idealease sponsored the Veterans Hole at the tournament, helping to raise an outstanding $30,000 and setting a new fundraising record!
What makes this sponsorship even more impactful is the involvement of Vietnam Veterans who work alongside Peterson Idealease at the Veterans Hole. These Veterans don’t just help run the event—they also make the meaningful decision of where the wheelchairs will be distributed. Last year, they traveled back to Vietnam—a deeply moving experience, as it marked their first return since their service—to personally deliver the wheelchairs to those in need. Jon, one of the Veterans, reflected on the trip, saying, "We came back from Vietnam complaining about Agent Orange, but we left them there mired in it."
Peterson Idealease’s dedication to the Wheelchair Foundation is truly inspiring, and their support goes beyond the Veterans Hole. This year, they also donated two themed baskets—"A Taste of Italy" and "Family Fun Night"—to the event’s silent auction, raising an additional $800 for the cause.
